Welcome
Advancing Knowledge Sharing across East and West Africa
The inaugural West Africa Energy Cooperation Summit (WA-ECS), taking place 3 – 5 December 2024 under the Patronage of the President, Togolese Republic, is set to gather industry leaders, policymakers, and investors to discuss and shape the future of energy in the region. The theme of the event is Empowering West Africa's Growth Through Strategic Energy Partnerships.
West Africa is at a pivotal moment in its energy development, with abundant resources such as solar, hydro, and gas reserves offering unparalleled opportunities for sustainable growth.
Key initiatives such as the ongoing expansion of the West African Power Pool, the Nigeria-Morocco Gas Pipeline, Solar farm projects in Mauritania, Togo, and Mali, and BESS development across the region are setting the stage for an exciting shift in the energy landscape.
WA-ECS will facilitate in-depth discussions on the latest energy projects, practical plans for achieving 2030 renewable energy targets, and strategies to enhance market development and private sector participation.
